The production of the image to the right changed a hobby into a life long love of photography. The Witch's Tower overlooks the city of Heidelberg, Germany and was photographed with a Minolta Instamatic126 camera and printed in US Army Recreation Center darkroom by an twelve year old boy in 1971. Since then thousands more photographs have been taken with cameras by Minolta, Nikon, Yashica-Mat, Hasselblad, Kodak, Bronica, Sony and others. Many hundreds of hours have been spent in darkrooms and at computers processing and producing a wide range of images. Though photography is primarily a creative effort for personal satisfaction the occasional wedding or portrait session has occurred and even a three year stint in an all digital studio added depth to the photographic experience. No matter the subject, capture devise or out put technique it is all about the pictures.
If there is any meaning to these images it is nothing more complicated than that beauty can be found in everything and to see it all you have to do is take the time to look. |
