Photography is the primary constant in the formula that sums up my life. Until I got married, every job I had was strictly a means of supporting my photography habit. I've been FBI Fingerprint Examiner, Beach Bum, Kite Flying Instructor, Sailing Instructor, Waiter, Actor, Construction Worker, Camera Store Clerk, Industrial Hydraulics/Pneumatics Salesman, Office Manager, Audio/Visual Technician, Freelance Private Sailing Yacht Crewman, Prepress Computer Operator, and a University IT Specialist Me, Paul S. Marley. Through it all was Photography. I processed B&W from the early 1970's until going digital in the early 1990's. I have shot hundreds of KodaChrome and Ectachrome slides and even some Kodacolor negatives. I have made a few dollars taking pictures over the years but I never wanted to make a career of it for fear of spoiling the pure fun. It was never about the money, just about the pictures.

I never get tired of taking pictures!

A native and current resident of Winston Salem, NC, I have lived in VA, TX, Germany, VA (again) then back to NC. I attended Western Carolina University (BA Poli Sci., 82') in Cullowhee, NC and when I wasn't there I was on NC's Outer Banks sailing Hobie Cats off the shores of Duck, NC. When I returned to WS I got a "real" job, met "Miss Right", made her Mrs. Marley and we had two beautiful children. I currently work as the Instructional Technology Specialist for the Department of Art, Wake Forest University.
